A Free Pass for Gang Members, Terrorists and Other Criminals,Earl Kirby, June 7, 2007
Yesterday, June 6, 2007, the US Senate voted down an amendment to the Immigration Reform Act of 2007 to establish a permanent bar for gang members, terrorists, and other criminals to citizenship. For the life of me I don’t understand how anyone could possible vote to allow gang members, terrorists, and other criminals to become citizens of the United States. These members of the Senate who voted against this amendment voted against the best welfare of this country. In my opinion not one of them is fit to serve in the US Senate. We should stop being polite with them and start demanding their resignations.
Below is a complete list of those Senators who
voted against the amendment.
An interesting additional note is the fact that three of these Senators, Biden, Clinton and Obama are running for the Democratic nomination for President. Not one of them represents the people who elected them to their present office. I don’t see how we could expect any of them to represent the will of the people if they where elected to President. Their very vote against this amendment should by and of itself disqualify each of them for the office. We should not let this vote slide. |
